Understated luxury in this neutral and organic Altos de Chavón wedding

As featured on Martha Stewart Weddings.

High school love at its finest! This amazing couple had their dream wedding at Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic, where the bride grew up visiting on yearly family vacations. This wedding, without any doubt, is one of our favorites ever. First it consisted on four events, and the more events always the more fun! To see the full gallery of the pre-wedding events click here. Moreover, we all vibed so well that it made the process pure joy! When a Cuban family meets a Venezuelan family, meets a Dominican planner, and all share the American culture too, a perfect match is made!!!

Needless to say, there were also countless challenges, since the planning of this event coincided with a period where COVID protocol between both countries were constantly changing. At some point we even had to look into other countries for potentially moving the wedding, and thankfully, one month before, exactly, we got the green light to continue moving forward. How lucky!!!

For their wedding day, Alexa and Sergio wanted a natural, organic decor, the epitome of classic tropical elegance.  They wanted a neutral palette that complimented the beautiful scenery the Altos de Chavón has to offer. They had the ceremony at a courtyard near the entrance of Altos de Chavón (an area never before used! yay!), then had Cocktail Hour at the top perimeter of the Amphitheater, and finally a reception in the Main Plaza at Altos de Chavón. The best thing about this location is having the tropical jungle and the river on the one side, and a beautiful mediterranean style church and village on the other.

Saying that we loved working with this family is an understatement. We truly felt like we were serving our own family members and our besties. They’re loving, kind, trusting and incredibly appreciative people. We will cherish our time with them for the rest of our careers!
