Two Worlds, One Love: P+M’s Indian-Dominican Destination Wedding Weekend

Preksha and Mauro’s destination wedding was an Indian – Dominican celebration consisting of five events. We loved every single one of them. In this blogpost we’re sharing the key day of events, with the Indian wedding ceremony in the morning and the western reception in the evening. But we also loved working with them on the Mehendi party, Graha Shanti & Pithi, and the Sangeet! We’ll share more of those some time very soon!

What we loved the most about working with P+M was the personal connection we were able to create with them (and their parents!). They had learned of us from previously having attended the wedding of a cousin of the groom a few years before. When it was their turn, we were so incredibly honored to be their chosen team! As not only do we love becoming legacy providers for a given family, but we also absolutely adore creating multi-cultural events; through the years it actually has become one of our specialties.

Having met in Illionis while getting their respective medical specialties, doing P+M’s wedding weekend in Casa De Campo and Altos de Chavón in the Dominican Republic was incredibly exciting. We were faced with figuring out all the different ways in which we can honor P’s Indian heritage and M’s Dominican side. From the food, to the music, to the styling, everything was so intentional and so carefully thought as to make both groups equally welcome and more importantly, blended.

This weekend will go down in our memories as a truly gratifying one and we’ll keep wishing these two all the blessing available in this green wide world as long as we’re all breathing. Love them to pieces!!!!
