A Biltmore Estate Asheville destination wedding had always been part of P’s vision. Long before the engagement, she knew this was where she wanted to get married.
When C proposed and we got the call, our first priority was securing a date at the estate.
Not long after, Asheville experienced the effects of Hurricane Helene. The impact on the community was significant. As we continued planning, the celebration began to hold deeper meaning. Returning a year later felt important. It allowed us to bring people together and contribute, in a small way, to a place that means so much to many.
The weekend began with a warm welcome party at Deerpark. You can read more about that evening here. It set the tone with color, energy, and a sense of arrival. For the wedding day, P + C chose a more neutral direction. The contrast felt intentional and balanced. And in true Claire Duran Weddings & Events fashion, neutral never means lacking personality.
P + C shared many meaningful details with us throughout the process. These elements helped shape the design in a natural way. Their love for cars, P’s horse Vegas, good bourbon, and their dog Athena appeared in subtle touches across the day.
The couple got ready at The Inn on Biltmore Estate. The setting created a calm and beautiful start to the morning. They chose the outdoor gardens for their first look. The surrounding views of the mountains gave them a quiet moment before the day fully began.
Afterward, we moved to the main estate for portraits. Wedding party and family photos followed in front of the Biltmore House. That setting felt as timeless and iconic as we had all been collectively dreaming of!
Because of estate timing restrictions, the ceremony began later in the day. The light softened, and the atmosphere felt more intimate and then dramatic.
Guests gathered for a ceremony that balanced scale and simplicity. A mirrored aisle reflected the architecture and surrounding details, especially the big gray estate. White florals and chandeliers added softness without overpowering the setting. The overall look felt clean, elevated, and intentional.
After the ceremony, guests moved through the house and onto the terrace for cocktail hour. From there, they entered the reception tent.
We fully draped the tent in black and white. This created contrast while keeping the design refined. Florals, candlelight, and layered details added warmth throughout the space.
The seating display featured custom-designed keychains. It served as both a functional element and a personal detail making a nod to cars (both a passion and a decades long family business). As the evening continued, the energy naturally shifted. Dinner flowed into dancing, and the dance floor stayed full well into the night, thanks to the spectacular performance by Metro Music Club.
This wedding felt especially meaningful for us. We had worked with this family two times before, which made the experience even more personal. We can attest to the fact that these months after, our group chat with P+C is as active as ever. We love the experience of going from guests at another wedding, to clients to life long friends. What a privilege this is! To know them and their amazing families is to be lucky!
A Biltmore Estate Asheville destination wedding always offers a unique setting. But what truly defines it is how the couple uses that space to tell their story.
P + C did that beautifully. Their wedding felt thoughtful, balanced, and true to who they are.
Here are some of our favorite photos from Mashaida & Co to sum up the day! And at the end of this post you’ll find all the beauty captured in video by Harrison Films.
