Haylie and Kevin officially met in 2012 at James Madison University. Having started off their relationship as friends, they finally began dating in 2014 after Kevin professed his love for Haylie on a trip to Mexico. 

After getting engaged in 2019 during their 4 year anniversary trip in Belize, the wedding planning began. Since Mexico was the place where it all began, it was only fitting for the two to host their wedding there as well. And what better place with spectacular views than Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas?

Originally planning for a larger event of 150+, they began scouting venues in Cabo. However, as Haylie describes, “We soon realized that having a traditional-sized wedding wasn’t us and trying to force it was causing us a lot of stress and anxiety because we weren’t being ourselves.” Right then and there they decided to change to an intimate wedding with only immediate family and close friends–much more their style.

Haylie, the owner of Wander + Whimsy Floral and Event Styling, knew exactly the vision she had for her wedding weekend. With the help of vendor teams both local to Cabo and from the states, each element of her vision was beautifully brought to life. From the breathtaking views in Villa La Roca in Pedregal to the gorgeous floral installations executed by Lola del Campo all accompanied by neutral earth tones and boho decor elements, this intimate wedding was truly one for the books.
