Neutral Destination Wedding in Altos de Chavon

Sally and Ryan got married earlier this year in our beloved Casa de Campo Resort in the Dominican Republic. Namely, they chose different Altos de Chavon venues for the various moments of their celebration. And their reception setup is still one that blows me away every time I see the pictures. Everything lined up to create PERFECTION for them.

When we first started working with them, we felt immediately a high level of trust coming from them, and that meant the world. Sally was so eager to let me design without much direction and she knew we would make their vision come to life. And as much as we always try to center these introductory paragraphs around the couple’s story, Ryan will have to forgive me, as I need to make an important note, and pass the baton to his now Mother in Law.

I’ll be honest here. When we hear that parents are going to be very involved, sometimes we preemptively get a bit worried. But we enjoyed being able to work with one of the Best Mothers of the Bride, ever, Denise. And she proved all our fears wrong! While being heavily involved, she never crossed any lines. On the contrary, every single suggestion and comment was just spot on! Honestly, she should teach an e-course on how to be a great Mother of the Bride. But more than anything, I loved seeing the beautiful mother/daughter relationship between her and Sally. They’re like best friends. We do weddings because of all of these emotions. So seeing these lovely family dynamics fuels us just as much as thinking about centerpieces and linens.

Anyway, I think this gallery speaks for itself. The looks of love between Sally and Ryan, the flowers, the backdrop, the party ambiance. All of it came together as an expression of their love for each other, their closest families and friends, and their love for traveling and having fun experiences away from home (hence their choosing of a destination wedding!).

We hope you enjoy the following images by Asia Pimentel Photography as much as we loved our wedding journey with these two!
