The second chapter of J+A’s Jewish-Indian destination wedding weekend took place at a private oceanfront villa in the Punta Aguila neighborhood within Casa de Campo. This Swagat Shabbat was all about celebration, bringing everyone together for an evening filled with music, energy, and connection before the wedding day.
If you haven’t seen Part I: The Welcome Party & Haldi, check it out here.
The festivities started with a baraat for the Groom, where his family and friends paraded through the street at the rhythm of high energy music and the accompaniment of the dohl player. The parade ended at the house, where they met with the bride’s side, bringing everyone together. The dinner and party followed, set within a beautiful garden overlooking the ocean, contrasting the modern architecture of the villa. Long tables and an open dance floor invited guests to move easily between dinner, conversation, and dancing, creating a relaxed but festive flow throughout the night.
The design embraced bold colors, texture, and warmth while allowing the natural setting to shine. Florals by Garden Roses added richness to the tables and bar areas. Custom details throughout the evening reflected the blend of Jewish and Indian traditions in a way that felt joyful and intentional.
After the uncovering of the braided challah bread, and reciting the blessings for the night, guests enjoyed an indian-inspired three course plated dinner, followed by musical surprises and coreographed dances, that served to open up the dancefloor for a night of fun! The night ended with an “After Party” at a club that is built into the villa.
Momentos de Una Vida and Laguna Santa captured the energy and atmosphere of the night in the most perfect way possible.
This is the second chapter of a three-part Jewish–Indian luxury destination wedding weekend in the Dominican Republic.
