Weddings
Natalie and Parker got to us as a referral of our uber talented friend (and almost CDWE team member), Asia Pimentel. Once we connected, from the first call I knew we were going to have lots of fun planning and designing their wedding. They were getting married at one of our favorite venues all around, Casa de Campo, in the Dominican Republic. Having secured an amazing photographer and venue, our heads immediately started spinning with ideas for what was going to be a fabulous set of events! Fast forward to their wedding weekend, it all kicked off with a marvelous Rehearsal Dinner under the stars and right by the ocean at private property Villa Alegre hosted by the lovely parents of the groom (future blogpost to come, highlighting this event). On the wedding day, we had both parties arrive at Altos de Chavón for the First Look and pre-ceremony portraits, but a strong and sudden rain ensued, putting a hard pause in those plans (reality of weddings in tropical settings). Once it calmed down, pictures resumed as our team quickly proceeded to dry up all the ceremony chairs, so we could greet the guests and start ceremony promptly. The sun came out and gave them the most spectacular day from then onwards. Their ceremony with the St. Etanislaus de Cracovia Church on one side and the Chavón river on the other, in the middle of the mediterranean-style village, was simply perfection! After Ceremony was concluded, all guests were shuttled to another private villa, where Cocktail Hour and Reception occurred. Everyone was greeted with fresh coconut water (right from the fruit) and a plethora of delicious appetizers. With the photos having been paused pre-ceremony, many were completed during Cocktail Hour, which complicated a bit the possibility of having more decor images and wide photos of the space, which we really wanted to be able to show you all. But trust us when we say that the view of that reception space with the gorgeous grass and the ocean, was literally what tropical dreams are made of. High clear tent ceilings, the feast, the live band, the Hora Loca entertainers, the donut wall, the unexpected cold fireworks…. so many elements that made up for this glorious day. We thank our couple, and their families, for having let us be a part of their Casa de Campo celebrations. And thanks to all our amazing partners, who joined us to make their day be perfect (see list at the end of post).
