Some places simply leave a mark—and Cigarral de las Mercedes in Toledo, Spain is one of them. With sweeping views, beautiful architecture, and a distinct Spanish charm, it was the perfect setting for one of our favorite editorials, designed to inspire couples dreaming of a destination wedding in Spain. Moreover, this place is owned and managed by some of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met. And that’s no exaggeration.

Set on a hillside overlooking Toledo’s historic skyline, the venue blends old-world character with modern touches. Think terracotta walls, peaceful olive groves, and timeless architectural details that ground the space in European tradition.

For this shoot, we created a look that felt both fresh and connected to the surroundings. From the sculptural floral designs to the fashion-forward bridal looks, every detail was chosen to highlight the venue’s natural elegance. The warm Castilian light and soft landscape tones added to the sense of intimacy and calm.

But Cigarral de las Mercedes isn’t just about the views—it’s a full experience. With boutique-style accommodations, beautiful terraces for ceremonies, and golden sunsets, it’s ideal for couples wanting a multi-day celebration that feels both special and relaxed.

The day of this editorial, we faced very heavy rains that pushed us to pivot the spaces we wanted to use, yet, the amazing thing about the Cigarral, is that every single corner is beautiful. So even our Plan B was as stellar as it had always been our original idea.

We were so thankful to have been able to do this alongside our friend Mike Caringi of 515 Photo & Co. After having done a previous destination wedding together in the other side of the world that left our jaws dropped with the beauty of their imagery, we couldn’t have thought for a better partner for this day.
